Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Wordle Wizard doesn't ask for, collect, or store personal information. It uses Google Analytics to understand how many people use the site and how they use it.

Google Analytics

When you visit, Google Analytics collects usage data such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. It also records a few anonymous actions, such as entering a guess or using a suggestion. These record only counts and positions, never the words you enter.

Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ZL1VPX5V4V that last up to two years and let it recognize returning visitors. Google processes this data under its own policies: see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or with a content blocker.

Saved in your browser

Your current board and your settings (theme and high contrast) are saved in your browser's local storage so they survive a reload. They never leave your device. The board resets each day, and "New game" or clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Sharing

Wordle Wizard has no accounts and doesn't sell or share data. The only third party involved is Google, through Google Analytics as described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
